Here is how to actually get it done instead of thinking about it again.
First, name it in one specific sentence. Not "network more," but "message the two people from my last company who moved into roles I want." Vague homework never gets turned in.
Second, be honest about why you have been avoiding it. Usually it is not lack of time. It is the discomfort of a possible no, an awkward conversation, or admitting you are behind on a skill. Naming the real reason takes away most of its power.
Third, put a date on it this week, not someday. Someday is not a deadline, it is a way of never doing the thing while still feeling like you intend to.
Nobody is grading this. That is exactly why most people never turn it in, and exactly why the people who do stand out without even trying that hard.
