About Corby Fine

Corby Fine is a Toronto-based executive career and leadership coach with an MBA and ICF certification, and over 25 years of experience across startups and enterprise organizations.

He has been laid off, passed over, promoted, and everything in between. That firsthand experience, not just theoretical frameworks, is what makes his coaching different. He has built and scaled ventures, made strategic investments, and spent decades in the trenches of leadership before becoming a coach. He knows what it actually feels like to be in the rooms his clients are navigating.

His coaching approach is built on the Segment of One methodology, the principle that the best career strategy is one designed exclusively around you. Not industry averages, not what worked for someone else, not a generic action plan. Just a clear, honest assessment of where you are, where you want to go, and what's actually standing in the way.

He works with managers, directors, and senior executives at every career stage, from early career professionals building their foundation, to mid-career leaders navigating plateaus, to senior executives managing C-suite transitions and fractional leadership moves. He also works with executives on the leadership challenges unique to AI-era organizations, managing human and AI teams, protecting human value, and building careers that stay relevant as work transforms. What makes this different from most coaching on AI and careers is firsthand experience on both sides. Corby has spent years as a digital-native executive, implementing AI at enterprise scale, sitting on AI governance committees, and making the real-time leadership decisions that most AI and career content only theorises about. Corby works with clients virtually across North America, including Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa, Halifax, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Seattle, Austin, Miami, Washington DC, and beyond.

He is the host of the Fine Tune Podcast and the author of the weekly Segment of One newsletter.
